These guys have found a way to combine the joy of water skiing with carp hunting – usually done with a bow. Kids don’t try this at home – or in your waters without extensive knowledge of the area, water depths, etc. This is not for the faint of heart.
Peoria Carp Hunters hunt/fish exclusively for the invasive Asian carp and runs the bowfishing adventures on the Illinois River near Peoria, Illinois. They don’t offer this as a guided tour because obviously no insurance company would ever sign off on this.
Carp is an invasive species that has troubled the waters connected to the Mississippie River system and anything connected to it. Here in Missouri there are lots of opportunities to bowfish for these fish either in the water or in the air.
